Baltic Virtual - Promoting Virtual Engineering for SME in the Baltic Sea Region
The project Baltic Virtual within the BSR Innovation Express program aims to establish cooperation and exchange with the BSR area in the field of virtual engineering, thereby promoting the internationalization of SMEs. The goal of the project is a close cooperation between the VDC Fellbach and Visual Sweden. The cooperation includes benchmarking and matchmaking activities, information exchange and the organization of exchange programs/ international trips. Further networks will be scouted and involved to the project activities.
Within the project the following services are offered:
- Delegation trips to the project partners in Sweden and Denmark
- Market and technology exploration trips to leading trade fairs and events for V/ AR with related event reports

With the project Visual Sweden, the region of Eastern Sweden has set itself the goal of becoming one of Europe's leading regions for visualization and simulation by the year 2030. In addition to companies and research institutions in the field of visualization and image processing, Visual Sweden also includes the two science parks Mjärdevi Science Park and Norrköping Science Park, which in turn play a crucial role as intermediaries in the network.
Norrköping Science Park
The discovery and promotion of new business opportunities are probably the strongest driving forces in Norrköping Science Park. The focus is particularly on companies in the field of interactive and visual media. Nearly 140 companies are part of the Norrköping Science Park. In addition, there is an established cluster in the field of interactive and visual media with almost 70 members. The Norrköping Science Park is operated in close cooperation with the University of Linköping, the city of Norrköping and the business community.
Mjärdevi Sciene Park
Mjärdevi Science Park AB is a municipal company committed to providing the best growth conditions and development environments for innovative companies in Linköping through collaboration between local, national and international players. The Mjärdevi Science Park is home to world-class, high-tech, innovative and successful companies. Most of them are direct spin-offs or have strong links to research at Linköping University. Today, around 260 companies are located in the Mjärdevi Science Park. Professional profile areas include mobile broadband, automotive safety, image processing and visualization. In addition, there are many companies in the areas of software and system development, sensor technology, cleantech and life science.
