Virtual Reality for Service, Maintenance & Repair

Ensuring the serviceability of products at very early stages of product development is essential. Both customers, the own after-sales department and, in some cases, legislators, demand products that are easy to maintain, repair and disassemble. Investigations on all possible (physical) variants to be produced are often no longer possible because of the high variance. Virtual techniques can be an efficient tool here.

Areas of application

  • Service Engineering / Securing Serviceability during the prototyping process using Virtual Reality
  • Service training (training of service personnel using digital 3D models)
  • Service Assistance (support of service personnel during the practical work by mobile end devices and possibly Augmented Reality)
